Selecting the correct thickness for a concrete driveway is critical to ensure it can support vehicle loads without cracking. Driveway thickness is determined by the weight of the vehicles using it, the quality of the subgrade soil, and regional climate conditions.
Standard driveway thicknesses are specified by building codes based on load requirements:
